Solving the Problem

Solving the Problem

I believe there’s an opportunity in the market for an app that gives you added information disclosed by the other app user as well as yourself within eye contact distances. A few assignments ago I used the same vision related towards dating, hence creating a market disrupting dating app. For this one, we’re going to utilize the same system but formatted for business. Think of a digital business card that you don’t have to pay to print or handout, just activate and those around you would see it.

Product description

This app platform will allow the users to display their related job or service posting. For example, we’re at the library and I happen to be a tutor for statistics, I make sure to put that on my profile and display it. Joel is doing horrible in stats and is looking for a tutor, he uses the app, goes down the list and finds the tutor who’s is nearby clicks on him and this notifies me, the advertiser, of a potential costumer. The rest of the interaction we can do face to face since we’re already within eye contact distance. This app would not necessarily be a main source of consumers; however, it would rake up more costumers, and allow for a set and forget system to work for you all the time. Another use consists of “wanted services:” I would post on my profile how I’m looking for a dog sitter and make sure to activate it while I’m out in public places, then let it work for me.

  1. Hey Luis, I think this is actually a great idea. This could be a great low-cost way for a small business to market itself locally in the community. I think eye contact distance may be a little too close if i understand the app correctly. Maybe the user should be allowed to set their own distance preferences. I see this app actually as a sort of tinder for small businesses to meet up with consumers. You show a quick bio and some images of yourself or the business within a users pre-defined search limits and see if you can get a match. Definitely a great idea and something that should be investigated and used going forward. Keep it up.

  2. Hi Luis,
I think this idea has a lot of potential. A lot of people, especially students are always looking for ways to make a little more extra money by doing various odd end jobs, so why not have this "on the go" type of idea. I think it is smart to have it set where someone can post in search of a service and someone who can post about someone who can do a said service. I think you could expand even further and have a rating system, so you could chose and rate the people based on the job of the service they did.
